Solutions to Solving the Problem of Juvenile Delinquency According to Theoretical and Practical

Solutions to Solving the Problem Juvenile delinquency is not a criminological problem, therefore the problem of juvenile delinquency and how to solve it should be a pedagogical approach, not a criminological approach. Solving the problem of juvenile delinquency of course still considers the common good and the future of the younger generation, especially teenagers, so that the personal development of teenagers is maintained and does not harm the youth themselves as members of society and good citizens (Amin, 2010: 368).

Adolescents, including students, are potential human beings who deserve to be developed to achieve independence, creativity, and productivity. Therefore, a conducive education system is needed so that all potential aspects in him develop optimally. The potential in question is a good and beneficial potential for oneself and society (Willis, 2007: 25). Educators act as mentors and facilitators, in an effort to develop the potential of students in order to realize quality human resources and have the competence to elevate their dignity and improve their welfare.

Things that can be done to overcome juvenile delinquency:

1. Failure to achieve role identity and weak self-control can be prevented or overcome by exemplary principles. Teenagers should be able to get as many adult figures as possible who have surpassed their teenage years well as well as those who have managed to improve themselves after previously failing at this stage.

2. There is motivation from family, teachers, peers to do the first point.

3. The willingness of parents to fix family conditions so as to create a harmonious, communicative, and comfortable family for teenagers.

4. Adolescents are good at choosing friends and a good environment and parents give directions with whom and in which communities they should hang out.

5. Adolescents form self-restraint so that they are not easily influenced if it turns out that their peers or existing community do not meet expectations.

It is often found that adolescents with problems show symptoms of behavioral deviations from mild to severe categories. Mental health is an inner condition that is always in a calm, safe and peaceful state, and efforts to find inner peace can be done, among others, through self-adjustment by resignation (complete surrender to God) (Jalaluddin, 2000: 146).

The motivation to develop religious teachings is always used in conducting guidance and counseling is expected to have a positive and creative attitude in implementing the development of students in the educational environment which is their area of duty with passion and enthusiasm and high dedication. This noble goal is also stated in the Regulation of the Minister of National Education, Number: 22 of 2006, which states that: "Religious education is intended to increase spiritual potential and shape students to become human beings who believe and fear God Almighty and have noble character.

Noble morals include ethics, character, and morals as the embodiment of religious education. Increasing spiritual potential includes experience, understanding, and inculcation of religious values as well as the practice of these values in individual or collective social life. The increase in spiritual potential ultimately aims at optimizing various potentials possessed by humans whose actualization reflects their dignity as God's creatures (Permendiknas, 2006: 1). Spiritual mental guidance services, Islam has an important role, because the moral values that come from religion, are permanent, cannot be changed by time and place.

The religious approach has a very large role in forming people who believe and fear Allah SWT, appreciate and practice religious teachings in everyday life, both personally and in life in society, enhance character, strengthen personality and strengthen the spirit of nationalism and love. homeland. Because the religion brought by the prophets is to guide and direct humans towards essential actions and also the Prophet as a very powerful counselor figure in problem-solving related to the human soul in order to get out of the devil's tricks (Salahudin, 2010:100). ).

Furthermore, it was also stated that Islam has the functions of guidance and counseling services whose philosophy is based on the verses of the Qur'an and the Sunnah of the Prophet. The process of implementing counseling and therapy guidance in Islam leads its people to increase faith, worship, and the path that is blessed by Allah SWT. (Salahudin, 2010:104). Thus, the spirit of Islamic teachings actually contains guidance for its people so that they always live in truth and the peace they go through with patience and trust in Allah SWT.

Education about religion can be carried out and carried out within the family scope first, the second is only a dormitory/Islamic boarding school, and the last one is only carried out through school education levels starting from PAUD, Kindergarten, Elementary, Middle School, High School, and College/Institute/University. .
